Erasmus+ – Italy

The Technical Industrial Institute “S. Cannizzaro” of Catania, during the week of May 26 to 30, 2025, was the venue for the third LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activity) of the Erasmus+ project titled “I’m here too” KA210-SCH-000157809, which involved partners from Malta, Turkey, Germany, and Italy.
The project, in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ program, was dedicated to the theme of inclusion and diversity in all areas of education, training, youth, and sport. Music served as the educational and inclusive tool that accompanied the activities, promoting both individual and collective expression and helping to create a welcoming and stimulating environment.
During the week, students and teachers participated in workshops and musical activities that, although not part of traditional curricula, aimed to stimulate the relational and emotional development of students, with particular attention to those with special educational needs.
The project also addressed a fundamental challenge: preparing teachers to competently and sensitively meet the needs of students in inclusive settings. The activities carried out during the mobility period provided tools and best practices to strengthen teachers’ skills in inclusive education.
The “S. Cannizzaro” Institute thus reaffirmed itself not only as a technical training institution, but also as a space for international dialogue and collaboration, promoting fundamental values such as equality, inclusion, empathy, and solidarity.
